This year to engage the Greenville community in a more proactive and personal way; we are going to be Building Our Yellow Brick Road of sponsorship for the current season. Each Brick involves a $55 donation and for every BRICK bought, a part of the proceeds will go straight back to the Urban League of the Upstate and the youth programs that they support.

Once you have donated a YELLOW BRICK as an individual or company, your name/company name will be branded on the Yellow Brick Road and you will receive a Yellow Brick poster/hanger to display in your location that shows your support of the diverse community of youth in the Upstate, the Urban League, and Glow Lyric Theatre.

When you give, you and/or your company’s name will appear on our website (that is also tied to the Urban League of the Upstate website). At the end of the season there will be a work of art created to illustrate all of the YELLOW BRICKS that have been sponsored by local individuals/businesses at the Peace Center of the Performing Arts to advertise your companies’ donation and support. Once the season has concluded, that work of art will be donated to the Youth Organizations that received the funding as a reminder that the community of Greenville gave of their time and resources to support them.

Additionally, all season long the work of art will be on public display giving your business free advertising and will also make its way through the local media and will be available throughout the season for photo opportunities. You might be surprised about a few of the places where our Yellow Brick Road work of art might pop up!

As the season builds we will continue to add the YELLOW BRICKS to the artwork making sure that everyone who has sponsored a brick has representation there as well as representation at their business’ establishment. Anyone can buy a BRICK for the show and support the Urban League and Glow. Everyone who buys a brick will be commemorated on that lasting work of art.

Every time each of those kids looks up at the YELLOW BRICK ROAD they will see the names of the companies/individuals that supported them, gave them a chance to participate in the arts, and a potentially a life changing experience. That is a powerful and inclusive message to our local urban youth.
