Ariel Andrew

Ariel Andrew (Moira in The Handmaid’s Tale). Known for having a voice that has been called “a force of nature sound with natural ease” (Parterre Box), Ariel has been making her way through the opera circuit with a smile and a song to sing. She is beyond excited to be making her company and role debut with Glow Lyric Theatre as Moira in The Handmaid’s Tale . Most recently, she was in NYC working with three different companies on three very different shows. Firstly, she joined Overtone Industries in the world premiere of ICELAND as the role of “Sun” in New York City. Following this adventure, Ariel did some work with Bronx Opera in their production of Dialogues of the Carmelites where she covered Madame de Croissy. Lastly she was granted the honor of singing with Little Opera Theatre New York by covering Mary from Highway 1, U.S.A. and performing in the ensemble of Down in the Valley . Other role credits include Rusalka ( Rusalka | LAH-SOW) , Pamina ( Die Zauberflote Spooky Goose Opera) , along with Mimi ( La boheme | Opera Steamboat ). She obtained her M.A. in Music for Vocal Performance at CSU East Bay and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music at the University of Tampa. Ariel currently studies with internationally renowned soprano Alexandra Loutsion.
