Ashley Becker

Dramatic soprano Ashley Becker (Aunt Lydia in The Handmaid’s Tale) is thrilled to be making her GLOW debut this year in the role of Aunt Lydia in A Handmaid’s Tale. Ashley has been lauded by The New York Times for her “lovely, fully supported sound and thoughtful nuanced phrasing”. In 2023 Ashley performed the title role in Tosca with Opera51 and the role of Krystyna in Jake Heggie’s Two Remain with Lyric Opera of Orange County. In 2022 she created the role of Olympe de Gouges in the world premier of Les Girondines with Wilmington Concert Opera, joined the Bellingham Symphony Orchestra as the soloist for Bernstein’s Jeremiah, sang the title role in Turandot with Opera51 and performed with Mission Opera in Los Angeles, CA. As a performer Ashley is interested in immersive programming, strengthening ties between diverse not for profit organizations and leading the charge for servant leadership models in the arts.
