Glow Expands With New Office In Artistic West End

For the first time in its ten years of producing opera and musical theatre in the Upstate, Glow Lyric Theatre is now expanding to a permanent year round office and creative space. Starting December 1, Glow’s new office will be located on Greenville’s artistic West End at 811 Pendleton Street, allowing Glow to create a number of exciting new production and partner opportunities.

This is a giant step for Glow Lyric Theatre, and a positive sign of growth and sustainability for our future as South Carolina’s only professional opera, operetta and musical theatre company,” says Artistic Director Jenna Tamisiea. “Glow has grown from a small grassroots organization to a regional summer theatre, with paid staff. Quite frankly we’re bursting at the seams!”

The new space will be a key meeting space for Glow’s staff and community partners, like The Graham Foundation and C. Dan Joyner Realtors who helped this vision come to fruition. But it’s not just for business: Glow’s new space will also function as an additional rehearsal space for local musicians and singers, and a creative hub for artistic collaborators working to produce Glow’s upcoming seasons.

We’ll be doing everything we can in this new office space- auditions, rehearsals, daily work, box office, board meetings- you name it,” says Tamisiea.  “We want this office to be a creative safe space for anyone who comes through the doors.”

Glow has seen incredible growth in its first decade in Greenville, and  this new location is sure to provide more unique opportunities for artists across the region, and further Glow’s mission to provide diverse and socially responsive theatre to the Upstate.
